My name is Yolanda. And if you’re like me, you’re always on the lookout for ways to make more money with less effort to give your family the things they need.
I’m a mother of three – two daughters and a son – and live in Detroit where I work as a hairstylist but frankly, it’s not always enough to pay the bills.
Taking care of my children is always my first priority and their father is not really in their lives, unfortunately.
How to get your man to stay faithful.
Luckily, I discovered a number of ways you can bring in extra money, and I’ll share them with you below.
If your kids are anything like mine, they LOVE social media! My oldest daughter is on Facebook all the time and my son has his own Instagram following.
But did you know you can make money from these social media platforms as well?
You see, when I first started using Facebook, iit was to get more clients from my hairstylist business. With the permission of some of my customers, I posted photos of my best work. Then I posted video testimonials from some of these customers too.

Start a Business Posting Videos Online
Just like in the case of social media, online video offers a great way to make money too. Maybe you see videos on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook Reels and more. You think to yourself, I could make those!
Create videos and turn them into solid profits. Use them to make yourself an influencer so others will pay you to promote their brands. Or use videos to drive traffic to an ecommerce, Ebay or Etsy store.
Enjoy making videos with your friends on your phone and find a great new way to make money as well.
Start a Forex Business
I discovered Forex when taking my kids on a vacation to Puerto Vallarta. I converted some U.S. dollars to Mexican Pesos for the trip just in case.
But when I got back home, I received quite a shock. When I converted my Pesos back to U.S. dollars, I discovered I had a few more dollars then when I left.
It turns out the value of the peso had risen slightly during our vacation so it was worth a bit more when I coveted it back to U.S. dollars. I soon realized this could be a business, converting money to a foreign currency – not just pesos but currency from any country – then converting it back when the value rises.
Of course, this requires some practice and a fair amount of study. But you may want to look into this option yourself, if it appeals to you.
Start Making Money as an Online Writer
As you can probably tell, writing comes easy to me. I learned to do creative writing quite young, though I found little use for it in beauty school. LOL
That all changed when I learned you could make nice money writing content online. Learn the art of content writing – creating articles to attract customers or drive them to a particular landing page, online store or other product.
Stop worrying about being the next Toni Morrison. Write clear simple sentences that sound the way you and your friends talk. And learn how to use “keywords” that get you attention from search engines.
Learn to write content that sells.
Start a Woodworking Business
Ladies, if your man is good with his hands creating shelves, drawers, coffee tables and what-not out of wood, consider turning this hobby into a business.
Spend some time looking online at the woodworking projects people seem to be buying. Pay special attention to the prices being charged.
Then have your man – or handy lady friend – whip up a great looking picnic table or row of cabinets. Post it on Etsy or Ebay. Or use Facebook Marketplace for free.
Use woodworking skills to create products for sale.
Start a Turnkey Online Business
Finally, the best businesses require little or no work at all. Did you know you can set up turnkey businesses online to market and resell software other online business owners use.
This means software designed and set up by someone else. So you need no programming experience to start these businesses. You don’t even need to hire someone to create software for you.
Someone else completed all the hard work. Now all you need to do is get other people to buy it.
